The Laos family had a butcher shop, a pharmacy on the corner of 22nd and South 6th Avenue that the City tore down for a street widening that won’t happen, and had an independent bus company back when there were a bunch of them in Tucson instead of SunTran. The Laos’s didn’t want to close that company but the City forced them to, and they have the Laos Transportation Center named after them.
